The best way to re-fresh your skin at home


Enzyme masks are one of the best little tools to use at home to "refresh" your skin.

They most often contain extract of Papain  but can also contain other fruit extracts like mango, pineapple, lemon and strawberry. The enymatic action works to soften skin and lift that very outer layer of hard, keratinised cells that are often referred to as "dead skin cells". The best enzyme masks are also formulated to contain anti-oxidants, anti-inflammatory ingredients and an array of vitamins. This combination of ingredients is very effective at targeting excess sebum in acne conditions and evening out pigmentation. 

The enzyme mask is a great way to prep for an intense hydrating mask to give yourself a mini-facial at home. It doesn't need to be complicated and you can still walk around and do things while the masks are on. 

The 15 minute skin refresh:

:Cleanse and lightly exfoliate the skin in the shower.

:Apply a thin coat of an enzyme mask and leave for 5 minutes. 

:Remove with a hot towel.

:Apply a deep hydrating mask for 9 minutes. Wet fingers and massage in mask for the final minute.

:Remove any excess by patting with a warm cloth.
