CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) APAN CLINICAL SAFETY POLICY

News

Dear valued customer,

I have had quite a few enquiries regarding the recent outbreak of Covid-19 and the effect on Secret Skin Studio. There is an understandable feeling of anxiety in the community about transmission of the virus. The studio was designed as a place to make you feel relaxed and improve your feeling of wellbeing. I would like to reassure you that as a business providing personal care services I will continue to operate with the correct preventative and infection control procedures.

After reviewing the most up to date information from Queensland Health and industry body recommendations there will be implementation of the Coronavirus COVID-19 APAN Clinical Safety Policy.

Most measures are already standard infection control procedures. There will, however be some additional preventative measures put in place.

A. Customers will be asked to wash their hands upon arrival

B. APAN have stated that our extended environmental controls should include the following:

  • Client/Patient chairs clean & sanitise between each visit (current procedure)
  • Counters and hard surfaces – clean & sanitise twice each day (currently once per day)
  • Medical or implement trays – clean & sanitise between each patient visit (current procedure)
  • Door knobs and other surfaces - clean & sanitise between each patient visit (currently once per day)

C. The implementation of a screening policy included in your reminder text will be a new temporary measure. If individuals have recently returned from any overseas travel or have been in close contact with an individual with a positive test result, or have symptoms of cold or flu– we can arrange to re-schedule your appointment for a time that is after 14 days. Your utmost safety is paramount. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

I hope this answers any questions that you may have regarding services at Secret Skin Studio. Your safety and well being has always been of the utmost importance. I will continue to monitor the Queensland Health guidelines and update protocols as required.

If you attend other businesses providing personal care such as hairdressers, massage therapists, nail bars, physio, chiro etc I would encourage you to question them regarding their infection control policies.

Kind Regards,

Elizabeth Kiosses
